Irony

He hated it all. Every damn thing. All the smug people who just kept going on and on, and the people who said that there was a lot in life to enjoy. He hated every last one of them. He hated the whole world, he was better off dead and yet death just didn't want to claim him. It was like some kind of cosmic joke and everyone was laughing at him. No matter how many times he tried to kill himself, something would save him at the last moment. He hated it all.
